CCL has a streamlined join form and an automated process for assigning new supporters to their congressional district and CCL chapter. Our automated process has a higher success rate than when members used the previous join form to choose a US district and a US CCL chapter from a dropdown menu. Plus, a simpler join form increases conversions (the percentage of people who arrive at the join form and then complete it).
Note: The automated join form process applies only to CCL chapters in the US, not non-US CCL chapters, not Action Teams, not Custom Groups created by Regional Coordinators or State Coordinators, and not subgroups or teams created by CCL chapters.
What do Group Leaders need to do regarding the join process?
You don't need to do much. For the majority of US CCL chapters, the information we already have about your chapter's location is sufficient. However, please do review chapter location information and, if necessary, update it.
If you lead a US CCL chapter in an area with nearby chapters (less than 40 miles away), then you definitely should review and, if necessary, update the zip code for your group. It's not required but it will more than likely lead to better results when auto-assigning new members to chapters. See this article for instructions.
