This article is intended for members with Group Leader or Admin rights.
To send messages to the members that have RSVPd to an event, use the Event Admin feature. You can schedule messages ahead of and after each event, segment your message to recipients based on their RSVP status (Yes, Maybe, or Both), and include attachments that link directly to the email. In addition, using the Event Admin feature you can also designate Event Admins and select a badge image for your event.
Note: In order to use the Event Admin feature members other than a Group Leader need to be listed in the group's Permissions tab with the "Edit Events" box checked.
To use the Event Admin feature go to your group home page and click on the "Events" tab along the left-side menu:
If you have an existing event, click on it. Otherwise, create a new event. Below the event details, you will see the "Event Admin" block. To set messaging options, click on the "Messaging" tab:
In the "Messaging" tab click on the "Create New Message" button:
The "Create New Message" button opens a “Messaging" window with fields to select options:
- RSVP Status: allows Event Admins to send or schedule a message only to those who RSVP as Yes, Maybe, or Both.
- Attendee Type: this is set to "All" as default. It can be switched to send only to Event Admins if desired.
- Message Subject and Body: enter the event subject and body text. Besides entering text directly in the "Body" box, you can also paste text, create links, and include images (such as a map to the event venue).
- Attach Files: allows Event Admins to upload attachments to a message.
When ready to send, click on the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page to immediately send the message to your intended audience.
